August long weekend the 6th Annual Rossland Rubberhead Enduro Race returns to Red Mountain in Rossland, BC. 2014 will be the first year that the Rossland race has been included in both the Kootenay-Rockies and BC Enduro Series. It is anticipated that there will be some 200-300 participants in each cycling race!For spectators and competitors there will be great racing action, food, drink and entertainment up at Red Mountain.
As a mountain community, Rossland naturally has a long history with mountain biking enthusiasts. Thirty years since the first Rubberhead Festival was held in Rossland, mountain biking enthusiasts have found the events dedicated to this sport to grow each year. The popularity of the sport has taken off with visitors and locals alike.
The modern Rubberhead is a lot of fun and something that the whole family can enjoy. Events schedule includes racing, kids skill sessions, barbecue, shuttle rides, live music and much more.
