The annual Salmon Arm Roots & Blues Festival returns this weekend! Now in its 22nd year, the volunteer driven fest kicks off on the 15th and runs through until the 17th. This year’s lineup includes Mavis Staples, The Sheepdogs, Josh Ritter, Ian Tyson, Shad and many others!

Throughout the past couple of decades, the Salmon Arm Roots and Blues Festival has developed a reputation for giving gifted up-and-comers an opportunity to perform. The bill often features a mix of emerging talent and established stars and this year is no different.

If you’re attending the festival, you are allowed to take a cooler and your own water/soft drinks into the grounds. In addition, festival goers are also welcome to take their own chairs and a tarp for sitting/lying on. Tarps can be no larger 8ft. x 10ft., while chairs that have a seat that is 8 inches or higher from the ground, will be required to sit at the back. There are also designated seating and standing areas at the fest.

For the past 15 years Roots and Blues has had clear and warm weather and that trend looks set to continue with the weather forecast looking great for the weekend. It promises to be another amazing weekend!

If you’re staying with us while you attend the Salmon Arm Roots and Blues Festival, we look forward to serving you at our Salmon Arm location!
